Like most magicians who work with playing cards, I've always been fascinated with the techniques of card cheats that include: negating a cut; mucking; card stacking; and bottom, second and center dealing, as well as the physical alterations of the cards that include crimping, shorting and more.
In Allan Kronzek's excellent book, he discusses 52 cheating methods and outlines signs to look for in an underhanded game. It's a fun, entertaining read.
