Review: 52 Ways to Cheat at Poker by Allan Kronzek

Wednesday July 2, 2008
A Strong, Winning Hand

Like most magicians who work with playing cards, I've always been fascinated with the techniques of card cheats that include: negating a cut; mucking; card stacking; and bottom, second and center dealing, as well as the physical alterations of the cards that include crimping, shorting and more.

In Allan Kronzek's excellent book, he discusses 52 cheating methods and outlines signs to look for in an underhanded game. It's a fun, entertaining read.

Build Your Own Card Fountain For Under $20

Monday June 30, 2008
Flying Cards

With card fountains priced anywhere between $60 for a basic model and $130-$500 for an upper-end, radio controlled version, you can save some bucks by making your own.

And if you're so inclined and have the time and tools, this DVD shows you how. These guys call themselves "MacGyver Magic," and the title is so appropriate.
